The Spungo Blog

From time to time, I like to go through my archives and marvel at the way things used to be. Below is a little example which shows how MVP 2005 looked straight out of the box, and how it looks now… guess which is which.

  • So, why no updates you ask? Well, I’ve been busy. Here’s an example of some new items you’ll find on the progress page:

    000g 2008 70s Throwback

    003j 2008 Senators throwback

    003n 1994 Home

    009g 1968 Home

    009m 2008 1973 Throwback

    009e 2009 Road

    012l 2008 St. Pete throwback

    018m 2008 1980 Orange home throwback

    021n 2008 80’s Rainbow throwback

So there’s all that, which is really just the tip of the MLB iceberg, then you’ve got the countless MiLB uniforms that are included. So many other new uniforms are in there, not including the many more which have been re-done and re-edited — the biggest uniform release for MVP Baseball 2005 is getting much, much larger…

Update #1 for my 2008 uniform set is now available at EAmods. Mostly included are updates and changes to existing uniforms, however one new uniform is included:

  • I forgot to update the progress list before the big release, so here are the last uniforms that were included in my 2008 uniforms set:

    Atlanta Braves

    Durham Bulls
    043a Home
    043b Road
    043c Home alt
    043d 2007 Livestrong

    Trenton Thunder
    067a Home
    067b Road

    Bowie Baysox
    070a Home
    070b Road

    Springfield Cardinals
    084a Home
    084b Road

The progress page has now been updated to reflect these changes. Not like anyone’s gonna read that long list, though. It is long.

In other news, I’ll be releasing small ‘updates’ on this blog from time to time over the course of the season. I plan on releasing three main updates — one opening week, one at the all-star break, and one during the first round of the playoffs. In between those large updates that will be available at www.eamods.com, I’ll put smaller updates on here, which will include small fixes for various small problems. For example, the first update will remove the names on the back of Toronto’s powder blue jersey — exciting, huh? You know it is…

  • Alright, so it’s been almost a month since we’ve last conversed. Well, since I’ve last posted and some people may or may not have read it — that’s more realistic.

Regardless, I’ve come back to add a brand new page to the blog — Progress! In addition to updating you on the current state of women’s rights in America, that page will update you on the progress I’m making in my never-ending quest to waste my college years making uniforms for a PC baseball video game. The page has the ‘master list’ of every single uniform I’ve made and will include in my 2008 update.

I’ll update the list every time a new uniform is completed, as well as a new blog post every week or so which will let you know of the changes.

You’ll find the link on the top right of the page.

  • I’m done. How ’bout you, are you done? No? Well I am. Just finished tonight. And they look great, too. Much better than last year, which should scare the pants right off your torso. Yes, I’m typing to you… and your pants.

    I win.

  • Overhauled the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight. Re-did the usual in the new templates, added the spring uniform, got carried away and started on two Pirates throwbacks uniforms, then I look up and kablammo — it’s 4:45 a.m.

The throwbacks are way fun, some of my favorite so far. Love the all-yellow uniform and I got to try something different with their pinstripe uniform, so I thoroughly enjoyed that. Head on over to the downloads section and give these a whirl.
