Due to some technical problems with the blog I was unable to update or login, so the absence that no one noticed is now over… and with my return I’ve brought pictures!
[SinglePic not found]In addition to the obvious updates for 2009, I’ve been rigorously working on updating most of last year’s uniforms to this year’s brand new template and texture design. For those of you that didn’t notice, the above uniforms feature that new template, and while it is by no means Earth shattering, I feel it does make some much-needed changes to my previous design that should finally make for the most authentic uniform experience that I am able to create with this game.
Aside from re-doing last year’s junk with my new junk, I have also been creating many brand new uniforms as well, mostly old throwback uniforms. Because of this and my work updating uniforms to the new textures, you’re guaranteed to see something new with your favorite team this coming season.

The uniforms look awesome. I, for one, am really looking forward to those throwbacks. Are they going to be concept throwbacks or factual throwbacks?
Actual throwbacks. Given my obsessive need for detail, I really got into the history of some teams and getting as many small details correct as I could.
You can see all the uniforms on the progress page, but the throwbacks I’ve been doing lately have ranged from the 1927 Detroit Tigers home uniform to the 1996 Boston Red Sox home uniform with the red hat.
A lot of cool new stuff in there, and it’s all real uniforms that teams have actually worn.
I don’t know if you’re taking suggestions, but the Dodgers’ 1929-1939 uniforms are pretty sweet. They look like they’d be right up your alley for this project. Those years have some unique red accents that most Dodgers uniforms don’t have (save the numbers on the front of some jerseys).
I got kind of burnt out on those old, old throwbacks, so I might be taking a break from those for a while.
The Dodgers only have two EA default uniforms left, however, so there is a possibility I might eventually make some to fill those spots.
