So tonight was a great uniform night, just dandy. It started off with some good work on the Blue Jays; I finally got that damn team organized. So many different uniform combinations that I had to shuffle around, so to make it work I ended up creating a 2000’s era throwback to fill the spot of the old powder blue throwback, which is now a modern home alternate. After that came some work on the Reds and Dodgers uniforms, which are now all in the new template style.

Finally, to cap off the night I thought I’d have some real fun. After surfing around the internets the other day, I came across this little gem of a jersey. Apparently it’s a 1947 Warren Spahn satin jersey. There was a phase back then when some teams tried out satin uniforms, I believe because Hitler was a known satin-hound and since his famed satin yards had been raided a few years earlier after the end of WWII, the market price of satin fell to five buttons a bindle.

Anygay, I loved the look of the jersey so much that I thought to myself, “Hey Jesse, why not spend a few hours re-creating this jersey for a PC baseball video game?” That’s the natural heterosexual male reaction, right? Regardless, here’s what I came up with…

I’d also like to thank Homer for sticking around with me late at night and yelling at me every time he spotted an inaccuracy with this uniform. I kept uploading preview pictures over on the EAmods forums and he kept shooting back with replies about how I’d missed this, or done this wrong, or offended him somehow.
